Poppy Outing

My dad had this really good idea of having a family outing on Saturday by going to the Poppy Reserve in Lancaster. He rented a mini-van so we could all go and see this poppy reserve where there are miles and miles of pretty poppy flowers. Their peek time to bloom is between March and May so we thought that we would catch them before they all died. Well, we didn't. For some reason they peaked early this year and when we got there they had pretty much all died out. It was a good attempt on my dads part to try and get us all to do something. Besides the cold wind and lack of flowers, we did have fun. The best part was this restaurant/sore that we stopped at on the way home. The food was delicious and they had everything in that store you could think of. All in all it was better than staying home.

Spell check, honey. And the restaurant/store was the best part. It sure was better than staying home too.

It could be a sore to some people...
